Wow for thirty grand more you can get a house that is 1000 sq foot bigger with a yard that’s been landscaped with a few trees and landscape lights.

So much for the riding lawn mower. Where's the garden plot?

Probably just my contrarian state of mind....... Would not want either one of them.

Both are too big and too many bedrooms. Would have to hire a maid to clean twice a week.

Both look like they were interior designed by the fine folks at Home Depot with the current flavor of the year finishes.

Billet is actually a saddlry term that refers to the belt like strap that has holes punched in it for adjustment of the flank girt or cinch (cinches and flank girts are both parts that wrap under the horses chest and/or belly to keep the saddle attached to the horses back). On a belt the billet is the portion of the belt that has holes punched in it.

A keeper is the loop that the billet goes through after its buckled to "keep" the extra length from flapping.

A standard belt generally has a billet with 5 holes of adjustment so they only need a single keeper. Single keepers are generally secured in place close to the buckle. Dad's belt has an extra long billet with 13 holes that will accommodate a waist from 40" to 52", so it requires an additional keeper that can be slid to where it is needed to hold the very end of the billet in place.

Dad currently requires a size 50 belt, but he is loosing alot of weight very rapidly now that he is more active again after finally getting over covid and the lasting side effects. So he ordered a size 50 belt (which normally accommodates waist from 48" to 52") but requested the billet have holes punched all the way down to 40".

    Does that all make sense?

You should start a Saddlery with your extensive knowledge of Tack.

It's just desert, pick a spot and put up an air conditioned green house with raised beds of imported garden soil.
