Looks like CA is starting to reap what it has sown....high taxes, high regulation, high crime, a trifecta of doom caused by decades of poor decision making.

California has spent billions to fight homelessness. The problem has gotten worse.

And since there is some who have a fundamental misconception of the definition of the word awesome, I am happy to share this for clarification purposes.

Was always a sixer or two in the fridge.

When traveling to see family or friends, always bootlegged a few cases along to share.

Unfortunately it's nothing new. Been going on for decades.

They have long been churning through the small businesses. The only way a small business has been able to survive there is to own the property, helps stabilize annual costs because property taxes and value assessments are tightly regulated. That survival is getting more marginal with the shifts in demographics. People of different cultures want different services and prefer to share culture with service providers.

I grew up in the South Bay Area (San Jose) Most of the businesses I grew up with in that area are long gone. Most of the independent buildings also. A business will close when owners retire and sell the property. Building gets torn down and made Highdensity for maximum profit of the new property owner. It's only been going on since Reagan was governor.
