    Or 70’s — Folks bought a house in Green River Of the Wy-O-Ming in 74 — had it built, thinking the price tag was just shy of $50k @ 18% — payment was just shy of $700 and they didn’t know how they were gonna make it— but they figured it out

    Yep had an ARM in '89 at around 12%. But housing costs were gaining about that much per year then anyways.

    May salary paid the mortgage. Rented out a room to help pay for food and gas........

    Fortunate that I cashed out just before I packaged out of the big company.

    Have a 2 story house. Actually a bit to big for us @ 1600+ square feet. Have been looking for a single story house. Can’t find one worth a dang, and affordable. Even looked at building one. Can’t find a lot that’s available and affordable.
