I've had two blowouts in the last two weeks. My friend had one yesterday. Light loads, about 50 to 100 miles away from the terminal on the highway. So they send out a message that we need to be performing pretrips because of the rash of blowouts.

I tell the man that sent the message to come to my dock door this morning. I said you see that tire, it meets DOT requirements for tread depth and tire pressure. So right now it is fine. I said but, that tire was manufactured in October of 2014, so if it decides to blow apart today it's not because of me not performing a proper pre trip.

I said all these tires that have blown out in the last few weeks are 9 and 10 years old and will continue to happen until they are replaced. All but one tire on my trailer is 6 years or older and all recaps.

Once again I am faced with the arduous task of shopping the grass. Currently ninety three (93) F degrees with heat index of ninety seven (97)
It's too wet to shop in the morning when it's cooler so I am left with this option.
Currently starving so must deal with that issue first.

More than 30 years ago, when talking to the wife about where to have the wedding, I suggested the Elvis wedding. She laughed and said NO. It sort of became the inside joke.
She booked a local very nice rose and flower garden. When we arrived at the location, just as we were headed down the entry road, an Elvis song started on the radio. We both looked at each other and just started laughing. We did sit in the car to the end of the song. Still laughing.

I've been known to threaten to put the cowgirl over my knee. Talk about a knothead.
