Maury Co. Tenn , Tva builds dam on the Duck River and has 3 or 4 hydro generators its all but finished .Tva buys up all surrounding land , imminent domain. Treehuggers raised a big stink about a snail darter a supposed endangered little critter . Dam got demolished and found out the darter wasn't so endangered.

im not knocking the engine at 140hp , but it was not engineered for big hp , was for fuel savings . The 170ci 2.7L was the first and best , the 198ci had a terrible rod angle same bore increased stroke and least popular . the 225ci got a increased bore cant remember stroke but made better tq . Industrial versions of 225 also found its way into some New Holland products like a swather ect . Industrial 440 in a few NH combines.

I’m not even sure they were 140 hp were they? I know what you were saying. They were great little engines. Just were no power house. And I doubt very seriously it would last long at 350, but it’s still an impressive number out of a small econo engine. Especially since it’s not a sbc with a gazillion aftermarket performance parts available

They were all the way up until the late 80’s. I would actually like to find a 1/2 4wd with a slant six. I have found a bunch of 2wd and one 4wd, but it had fallen victim to the dodge sheet metal problem

The 225 was replaced by the 3.9 v6. It was a great little engine too. I had one in a Dakota. They were a 318 with the back two cylinders missing.

    Like GM's 4.3 V6 , a 350 minus 2cyl.

I remember seeing a sign or a framed picture like that when I stayed at the jubitz. Was pretty cool all the pics and info they had up. Not cool was the prices. But @Dave_in_AZ has thoughts about jubitz prices.
