    They are more than a 1/4 mile, maybe closer to mile.
    Kind of a combination of things. Tracking and blowing snow into them is a major factor. This is Wyoming, so plowing, salt/sand and deicing applications are as any other road, minimal at best. They do have a sign and flashing warning lights that the tunnels may be icy.

    Must be an illusion of speed. They seem longer when your going slow.
    Even more so when your busy watching out for the idiots.

    Was looking at the weather radar for Daytona and it looks like it will split right between to giant thunder tain cells that are moving northeast out to the Atlantic.
