Quality cookware is the key to easy cooking. Sure, it can look to be expensive up front, then it will last for quite some time, so cheaper overall.

Know a number of people that have large equipment. The kind that if needed could dig a pretty deep hole. Sure that someone would be interested in some excavation project……..

Tampa Nugget, 50 to a box, 5 in the pack on counter. Used to get the box in Starkville at the Pan Am Truck stop for $8.00.
    No longer on the market.

    On this cookware theme... https://events.saladmaster.com/fbc1/
In its heyday, you would have loved to have been approached to do a party. Like Tupperware. Get a certain # to buy (was near a thousand $ set)
and you could get one at a cut rate. More fun to argue with a sponsor than with a Kirby Vacuum promotor. Last forever, no water required, and that Teflon just out would flake off and get in your food and get in you and you would pull a @Dave_in_AZ and DIE....
I was supervising 7 small loan companies at the time and 2 of my managers were toying with quitting and going it fulltime.

You can choose your friends but can't choose your relatives. Anymore I tell the kid just like it is. I Shame him but I'm a azzhole so there's that. Ya have to get past it or then it's a burr under your saddle making your life miserable.

One eventually gets to a point in their life where they don’t need the drama of the proverbial albatross around their neck. I fault nobody for cutting it loose.
