Onions— and if you dropped a 10 spot in the messican god father’s coffee cup they’d be a sack of sweets in the sleeper— same with apples in Yakima and taters in Ontario— it was a simpler time but we ate pretty good

 

Dad used to do the same...there was a few times that was how we ate. I still pick up spuds and onions when I see them.

 

When Momma says that the babies need new shoes and the cubbard is bare you really don’t give a F about what… never mind— you run and run hard

 

Back in the day before computers put an end to it you could 'shrink' the states.

Log 375 miles across Nebraska, instead of 450.

At the end of the day less miles equaled more hours.

Only got busted for it once. One of Nevada's finest went back 7 days.

It wasn't pretty but only cost $35 and a lecture.

 

That happened to me in Montana at the Butte scale in my first year driving ( 20 years ago ).

Dude got me on the 5th day. Speeding after the fact.

Was like $175, out of service for 10 hours.
