    It appears the 70% fertilizer 30% combination is the best.

    These one guys have one, not sure what the engine compound is, that makes it into low earth orbit. 56 miles. Home made.

    Fertilizer based propellant is not that new. Been used in model rockets for years. Several recipes on the net. Can get almost all of the ingredients at your local hardware store. Really specialized mixes, you might need to stop by your sporting goods store, the reloading section.
