Got my 2nd 34 hr. Reset since leaving out 10 days ago. Waiting on my load of toilet paper to take to the good people of Florida. Looking for an angle out of there. Only decent loads are a hazmat going home, or a 4 pick-3 drop to NC. Neither one will work. Gonna probably bite the bullet and DH out Sunday. All I’m out is fuel and time. Minus that from the Pay on this Load. Start fresh on Monday.

I have a mid roof 70" sleeper. My first truck I owned was a 48" flat top 9200i. I had a shelf over both ends, with a 2' x 2' notch cut out of the middle. It was big enough to sit up and then lay down.

The heaving line that terminates in the knot known as a "monkey's fist", from a small storage compartment generally located in the after part of a vessel.

Dave might have been thinking about smorgasbord. Going full Bavarian on them.

Got it. How about if we wrapped your arms and legs in tin foil and told you to stand out on the barge so we use you as a target to adjust the radar? ;)

I've heard a THOUSAND of those stories, but never actually saw someone fall for that one.

I DID, however, witness a young sailor sent for a tube of "relative bearing grease", and the engineers kept that kid running from one end of the ship to the other for about 2 hours, and every time the boatswain's mates saw the kid they'd yell, "GET THAT GREASE YET, KID? HURRY UP, WE AIN'T GOT ALL DAY! WE'RE BURNIN' DAYLIGHT! WE CAN'T PUT IT ON AT NIGHT, YA STUPID BOOT".....etc, etc.........

    Good times.

Those relative bearings really are hard to grease, too. ;)
