    Ah yes,, Cut down bumper ends... Keeps tires cool, reduced weight, fashionable in the day.

    As I recall. Henderson, TX Holliday Inn was 2 story, but no elevator. STAIRS, Jack he said. In TX, not required unless OVER 2 story's high.
    Quite a quaint code.

    When I was out in east tx several years ago, I NEVER saw it rain and storm like it did out there. One night I rolled into Jasper in the middle of a terrible storm. Elec was out. no emergency vehicles in sight at all. no traffic. trash can blowing across the street. eerie. called down to beaumont at the plant and they said all clear down there lol -

    You know, back in the day, we had a thing called taxis. You look up the number in the phone book, call them, and they would come and give you a ride to where you were going. And you would pass the time, talking about girlfriend's and whatnot, and they would take you to where you wanted to go. And then you would give them money, and they would leave.

    Seems like a more friendly operation all together.
