Yes, I was able to save a money reserve for this very possibility even under my high lease payments. so I'm sure I'll be able to refill my maintenance account barring my truck turning into "The Money Pit" all owner operators dread. I've still got a solid reserve of cash and plenty of credit. I'll definitely cut my losses, way before I'm broke, if maintenance starts meeting or exceeding income. Back to leasing if I absolutely have to but I'd love to save enough to finance a truck through normal means. I could NEVER go back to being a company driver. It would feel like trucking prison after experiencing the freedom of being an owner operator. Been doing the lease thing going on 7 years now, first truck I've manage to own.

You get points for owning up, but you're supposed to post "wooshhhhhh" when you skip pages.

    Welcome back!

Any time there is no wind in Why-oh-Ming, it’s suspicious.

It started with Tain about 10:00 PM last night. Then it happened, yep solid precipitation. Did that for several hours. At about 5:00 AM today, they let the stupid out. Like 27000 crashes.
A little trivia thing. The state of Utah DOT does not work on Friday. On call only during the three day weekends.

    I knew this would happen.......

I'm in Ham Mound. The load I am actually delivering loads at noon.

So yesterday, travel agent says, "Can you preload the 10am at Ham Mound?"

I say, "I could, but that is scheduled a bit too tight, given Ham Mound's track record of loading equipment failures and paperwork delays."

And now, here I am, 12pm and I'm still waiting to load my 10am, which will make me late for my 12pm, which by the time I get it loaded will negate the fact that I was about an hour ahead of schedule, and if all went according to plan, I'd be halfway through Ohio by dinnertime.

Now, unless something happens to shake things loose, I'm probably gonna end up running out of hours here, and spending the night in the shipper's staging area.

A tanker that came in after I did already went in.

If the tanker that just pulled in next to me goes next.........

    Just another truckin' day.......
