What if you live on a weight restricted road..

as long as theres no bridges you have to go over I wouldnt even worry about it

i go down 5 ton roads at 25 tons+ all the time...its part of the job

 

frankly celt, you are asking a bunch of truckers who really cannot tell you....

you NEED to ask your local PD from each county, and someone from the state, (cover all base's) then seriously, abide by thier "requests"......

you would be in violations of whomever posted the signs and local ordinances as well.

weight limits are SET for a reason. to disobey them warrants fines. it's that simple, like they all will say, "tell it to the judge".......

find an area to park it away from the towns, call your wife, get a ride back and forth.

 

DOT said come home empty, but make sure the axles are below 6.5 tons..

DOT also told me the weight restriction may be lifted in the near future. My road is schedule for strengthening..
