We of advise to anyone looking to go make money in the oilfield. 1700.00 a week if normal east coast money as a cdl driver. You don't have to go to the artic Tundra for that little bit of money. 3-4 k$ a week is what I went there for and when it crept down to 1300$wk they offer voluntary layoff & I packed up and went home. I'm movin Petroleum gas in the NE area 1700 a week and I won't dare go back until the cash flow is 3k$ or better a week or the rig count if above 75 in ND. Secret to oilfield is all in the active rig counts. Not the ads on Craigslist.

Yup I'm not even going to look into going back until 65+ on WTI price. 1200-1400/wk is easily achievable even in Texas as a truck driver.

I left Eagle Ford and Texas in June 2015 because the good money was gone. Several of my coworkers, who left the oilfield before me, were happy to find CDL jobs in San Antonio for $15-$16 hr. and are barely making $1k a week.
So I wonder how you can say 12-14k is "easy" to get.
