The old fuel separater is a PITA anyway. I had one on a 92 WS. Bowls are usually glass/ plastic. They leak/ freeze and crack, if the Heater element goes bad. I’ve been running a FS2000 Filter, for a Cummins application, on my Detroit. In place of the expensive heated contraption they originally had on here. It’s a great filter, has a drain, Which I never use. They have the same filter w/o drain, not sure of part #.But look up fs2000 filters, They’re specs are very good. High flow rate, at near full saturation. Never had one plug up, and secondary filters always clean as a whistle.

Actually the WS, had the all steel fuel separater, looks like yours. Simple design, then it had the glass bowl with heater for the secondary. This Truck had the heated bowl type also. Heater element was expensive. I did away with it. Good simple filters. Cheap and easy. I’m sure Davco and Fass are just the greatest. I’ll stick with the simple filters.
