And don't forget those mirrors and lights that end up frozen too. And the On-Guard systems that are on the front of the truck.

I just got a mental picture of what that would look like. LOL.

I've been using Simple Green in my reservoir in summer for years with great results. Haven't tried it in winter yet.

    There are many methods....

Preventative....Use rain x on your window to make it more slippery.
If its cold enough to idle run your defrost

When you wake up in the morning...They sell deicer sprays, but non really work. Best is to buy one of those hot air blowers that plugg into your cigarette lighter to warm the window. If all else fails, there is the age old ice scrapers. Make sure your window washer fluid works. if not, it is most likly frozen in the exposed hose. Remove hose and take in truck. After a few min you should be able to blow slushy fluid out.

When driving...Make sure you buy deicing window washer fluid. I am a fan of rainx. It doesnt really deice, but will nock ice loose enough for your wipers and wont freeze in the lines. It is a little more expensive, but wee talking the difference of 2 or 4 /gallon. keep defrost on. (even if ice clears) Spray washer fluid as needed to keep the slush from freezing.
