I agree 10000%. Say you are broke and struggling. Keep everything tight.

The "minimum" varies with the type of operation. If you're running 48+Canada, you'll need to carry more than if you just run 5 or 6 state regional...and that'll require more than if you're home every night.

Basically, whatever it would cost to get you and your stuff home from wherever you might be if things go bad....bus/plane/train ticket, rental car, etc. Probably another little bit to cover a night or two you might have to lay over along the way.

Stuff happens out here, and if it happens to you, you may find the company you've been working for does NOT have your back. They'll pay to get you TO the truck when you go to work for them...but they have no reason to pay your way back home. A good company will make sure you aren't stranded...but you won't necessarily know for sure if they will until it's too late.

Have the ability to get home. That's the absolute minimum. Could be a credit card that you have "just in case" and don't use for anything else. Could be cash. As long as it gets you home, it doesn't matter.

Actually. .. he's right ... my trainer paid for basically everything. ... it was very nice of him...
Showers are like $11 - $12 a pop if U don't have Shower Power.. My trainer insisted on paying for all my meals.. I had no problem paying for my meals and made him aware of that... BUT ... he wanted to ...

I was flat broke one time and sold my trainee to one of those human trafficking guys when she didn't put out.

Company didn't approve but they did acknowledge that selling your trainee to human traffickers wasn't expressly prohibited.

    Loopholes are your friend!

I assume you are female by your screen name that may be a reason why he paid. He was probably expecting a return favor lol

So I assume it has the visa or MasterCard logo on it and can be used anywhere? If so then I don't see why it's wouldn't be good at a rental place.

No it's a Walmart store card like any other department store card like Target etc... I said the cash i would bring $500 would be part of my emergency fund to get home if i had to. The Walmart card would be for food or anything else i need that they sell.
