whats the best way to get internet access on the road?

    Typical smart phones are quickly reaching the $100/mo mark.
    I dont think these carriers will be happy until they see us all at $100/mo and crappy data caps.

    Verizon is the best of the worst. Sprint does have unlimited data, primarily cause its hard to actually get it in much of
    the USA...so no wonder it's unlimited...

    I've looked into pre-paid (or Cricket for example) but unless your in a specific area all the time (like home) I dont
    think these plans really work out.

    Target and Walmart have some reasonable prepaid internet. A friend of mines has a cheap virgin mobile or boost mobile and its unlimited for $50 I think. Its not as fast as verizon or sprint but it works for her she says. Verizon and sprint have prepaid but its expensive!
