It is as easy as it sounds. If you are in the sleeper you mark sleeper. If you are out of truck doing personal things that is off duty. If you are doing something that you are required to do for the job that doesn't involve driving you are on duty. If you are driving, well that is driving.
What's the scoop regarding "off duty" time between runs ?

so, if you are sitting and waiting to back into the dock. OR your in the dock but waiting to get loaded. you're supposed to log that WHOLE time ON DUTY? cuz you reefers spend a LOT OF TIME at the dock. -

i know that. but the above poster said something relating to the job.
isn't sitting at the docks waiting to load or unload related to the job. LOL. -
actually, at a dock you are on duty not driving, whether you are assisting, watching or sleeping, you are waiting to leave.. as a DOT dude explained it, if you can sit down and have a beer it's off duty.
can't have one at a dock , cause your going to leave as soon as they are done.Bullet15 Thanks this.
