It's really hard finding information on TMC Transportation. I have heard bad and I have also heard good. I got my Pre Hire back a couple days ago. Scheduled for a follow up call on Monday to confirm when I want to start. But what I what to know is what school is like and if they are worth going to? Just dont want to head out to Des Moines and waste anybody's time if nobody recommends them. Thanks!

all i can say is, i am "familiar" with a driver that started working for them maybe about 2 years ago? and he loves it.

one thing however, as i recall from my earlier days, when i applied myself, i was told that they supply you with polish and rages, and YOU WILL wash and polish that truck..

i walked away...cuz my time off is for me, not for any darned company truck required washing and polishing...

Haha, I hear ya. Dont get enough time at home as is let alone polishing a darn truck that ain't yours. But I will listen to what others have to say as well and have my decision Monday when the recruiter calls back. Thanks.

now do not get me wrong, i will run it thru a Blue Beacon truck wash, on my way INTO a truck stop for fueling or a break....cuz i will still be on company time, but that is about all...i will never polish anything other than my personal vehicles.

Last I remember was that TMC is now owned by Western Express.

I know very little other than they don’t allow pets and the recruiter that I talked to implied I should get rid of my dog so I could work there. I threw the flier in the trash.

I’m not thrilled with Werner but they are very pet friendly. My dog is good company and doesn’t mess up the truck. I just have to clean up hair.

No one should ever be so rude to tell you to toss a pet. UGH
My father always told me. Dont take the first deal that comes along, if you wait, there is always a better one just around the corner (metaphorically)
