What I usually do when I am sarcastic is to do this: //sarc

That helps a little bit. Some of us are dimwits and need a little help.

That only comes down to state law, and whether or not they’ll honor your permits.

Not unless the windows are down. An IR camera would only see the temp of the glass.

I would get heated, but I’d save it for the coworker.

I for one don’t appreciate people venturing to my territory to try and tarnish the reputation I’ve built up over years.

I don't know how it happened, but I'm the "old hand" at my company. I've been here for the better part of 10 years. I left, it didn't work out, came back and when I did my reputation around the company was like "yeah they guy knows everything, go ask him." So most of the guys that started around when I left treat me like some sort of supervisor. And people who started after that act like I'm management. Even the office staff have been a revolving door over that time. I've seen safety, sales and dispatchers come and go.

As it stands now there's the owner and his family, two people in the office, and two drivers who have been here as long as me.

So my attitude in the last 3-4 years has gradually become, "welcome to the company driver, if you're still here in 3 months I'll bother to learn your name."

    Newbs? That's a promotion!

You start off as an "FNG"
(Fragrant New Guy, except it's not "fragrant".)

Then your a Newb, then you get to be a Rookie. You last that long? I might be bothered to remember your name.

Probably. Supply chains being disrupted, which leads to less trucks on the road, which leads to them scrambling to ticket as many people as they can to keep the revenue coming in.

2020 IFTA stickers must be displayed no later than 3/1/2020. The increased activities at the WS could be based on the effective date for the stickers IMHO. Tks

I've known people for years and dont bother to remember their names. Most of the time I'll forget their face, too. My wife has been on the truck over a year and has probably lost count of the people who come up to me talking like old friends while I stand there with no expression. We get back in the truck: "Who was that?"
    "#### if I know..."
