New drivers are not trained for c*r*##p, Many of them have lived in a world where cars have automatic headlights, so their practice is leave the truck lights on until they retire, go home, or go to jail. Their nitwit trainer never once discussed the topic before he quit. None of them have a CB radio and about 98% of them start pecking away at their smartphone about 1.8 nanoseconds after their truck stops. As the saying goes some of them couldn't pour pee out of a boot if you wrote the direction on the bottom of the sole.

Anytime I pull off the road that's the first thing I do is turn off the lights. Think you're pissed...so is the gate guard. Do you REALLY wanna piss off the gate guard?

Funny story.... I was inside eating a DQ and forgot where I was and slammed my fist on the table....yelled god ****** at the top of my lungs.... Went stomping outside clinched fists tantrum style and got in the dudes face mf'ing them. Came back in finished my ice cream and the guys next to me started clapping as I deathstared the manager like SAY something to me....juuuusssttt do it. Up for a John Tafford moment.

I'll fight a guy over that xD

Yes turn your ###### headlights off.
You'll eventually run into a me on a bad day or get cussed at by a gate guard or military.

When you approach a military base you turn your headlights off or the guard grabs his gun.

Some trucks such as my 2015 Prostar headlights are always on unless brakes are set but I try to turn them off if I can stop
