Where are load boards heading?

I believe there are companies now that offer it "buy it now" type of integration with your TMS, rather than needing to homebrew it completely yourself. I'm not sure how well it functions, we don't currently have anything like that in place.

 

Yeah, I'm pretty sure ITS has that offering, but it's a pay to play feature. I'm pretty sure it's like $5/transaction, or something similar, but I'd need to go back and look. I *think* DAT was, or is in the process of implementing it, but I don't recall.

 

Okay. Super weird that we're discussing this, this morning. Boss just had a zoom meeting with ITS on the matter. It's $15/transaction.

 

What TMS are y’all using?

 

We use McLeod PowerBroker.

 

Wow, pretty sure that’s an over $100,000 investment isn’t it? Like 130k? Is it pretty awesome?

 

If memory serves, that's what they were out on it. I wouldn't go so far as to say as it's awesome, but it works pretty well. It's a pretty flexible platform, which is nice.

 

Well ####. We’re using a $2000/yr system but it’s getting overloaded. I did a couple demos that were still upwards of $30,000 a year and they were too impressive either. :\
