I dont currently have an atlas i i know the roads on my route. I don't even use the trucking gps app anymore which had weight restrictions. The order of the farms on my route on my 2nd load has changed. One of my farms added another milking so now I have to pick them up last. The way the route was setup I would come up to the farm on my left hand side. I would have to see side back in around a telephone pole and pivot the trailer into the driveway, no big deal; execpt now I am loaded. I did it once but realize the enormous strain I'm putting on the tandems pivotting loaded.

Anyways I want to approach the farm in the other direction, so I have to take a couple of roads I haven't gone on to do that.

Where do I get a list of roads that have weight restrictions without an atlas or gps. If I were to have frequent Changes in my route I would have both sygic truck and an atlas.

Drive the route in your POV or break down and buy an atlas. Should have an atlas as a minimum anyways in case of a road closure/detour, just my 2 cents

You drive down the roads until you see the sign that shows the weight limits for truck and trailers. Then once you realize your about 10 tons over, you look the other way and start whistling.

went across a 4 ton bridge in Indiana in another century .... the sign lied that bridge held 35 tons .... was a winding road and wasn't marked and would of been really difficult to back out of there so I just went over as fast as I could with my fingers crossed wasnt much more than a culvert anyway and only about 30 foot across so wouldn't have had the whole weight on it anyways. ... in my wild younger days lol

Truckers atlas won’t help with local roads. Just test drive it in a car.

You usually figure them out when you see the flashing blue and red lights in your mirrors. I got on one in Oregon last year and the weight limit sign had been knocked down the night before by a 4 wheeler. Made it without a problem though.

Call your county road department. They'll know all the roads with weight restrictions and their information should be current.

In general a truckers atlas is only good for road information for a states primary roads. If you have no experience with a place your going I highly suggest you or your company one make a phone call. I remember making a delivery on a weight restricted road. My directions were explicit. I am not sure there is a master database out there with secondary road information. If you find it your very lucky.
