You can......but. You need 130+ amp machine that can be switched between DC+ and DC-. It's not going to look anything like a gas covered weld and you're limited to flat position or a horizontal groove weld. Basically, if there's nothing to support the weld puddle, it's going to fall out.
    I've tried mig welding SS with 75% Argon/25%CO2 with disappointing results. A tri-mix gas, 90% helium/7 1/2% argon/2 1/2% CO2 is best, but is expensive.

Fair enough. Some day it might blossom into a beautiful show truck, and I'll be forced to eat my hat.

Good thing I have plenty of hats.

That's no lie....unloaded in Grover, NC and reloaded in Pageland, SC today and I swear I saw an old guy loading pairs of animals up in a boat somewhere along the way! It sure is pretty out in NC @stwik you picked a good spot to land after leaving Florida.

Gliders finally done. 350 hours of work, 400+ zip ties. 6NZ Cat, 18spd, 2spd aux full double frame, 69,000 pound rears, twin webastos, wet kit, roda, extra roof lights, visor, painted cab bars and red underglow, custom built headache rack, fenders and deckplate. Headache rack has internal leds to light the chains up. Seat moved back 8'' and drop base installed. Probably missing lots more but that's the main specs.
Only thing still on order is chrome nut covers for the seat bolts

That 19 takes you right across the New River Gorge bridge..... puts you way over 800 feet up.
