1 of many reasons I hated small operations like that. The only thing fast about most feed mills, feed yards or farmers is the day going by. A fella can wear out a set of thumbs pretty fast twiddling them while he waits.

 

Did you bid on that load too? I just missed it I think? I think I bid it at .55 CPM? Broker told me they could get it moved cheaper.

I'll do it for .50, long as I can find another .25 to go with it. Be there as soon as my track suit gets out of the dryer at Lovey Loves.

 

Maybe that guy that says his total operating cost was .40 CPM could do it cheaper. Still waiting on his settlements he was going to post?

It goes on to talk about fuel costs but he says it’s all covered under the fuel surcharge. Then next he says he doesn’t count the truck payment because it comes out of his settlement before he gets it. And so on and so forth.

 

Well today started off good....emptied out in Nashville in 45 minutes, ran up to Newburgh, IN to grab some skidded coils for St. Joseph, MO which gets me home and that's where the trouble began. Rolled in with 4.5 hours and they took 4 of it.
