    Thank you sir!! This is exactly what I needed to know..
    So 2 more questions.

    1-- Can peanut oil be used in lieu of any of the 4 oils listed. Only ask because I have some left over from Thanksgiving. If not, which of the other 4 listed do you like best..?

    2-- What the heck can I actually use this dang kettle for.? I was hoping to be able to use it for something other than boiling water!! Lol :D

    You can use peanut oil. But oil with a higher flash point is better for seasoning. The higher the flash point, the hotter you can get the piece of cast iron before the oil burns off. I think this allows it penetrate the metal better and give a better finish.

    Texas Premier Polishing? I think Im gonna call them this week and see what the cost is on the grill and wheels to start. Luckily we have customers in Lubbock, so its not too hard to get up there.
