I will take Deming, NM for $35.
That was the cost of my ticket for blocking a driveway for 5 mins while I ran into a McDonald’s a few years ago.

Just Humor lol, that’s a vintage graveyard across the road.

There are men buried there that were buried before and during the civil war.

Sometimes I get a cup of coffee and go visit them, wishing I could go back or they could come forward, and we could just set and chat…

Rolled down to Houston on Monday morning and spent the night thinking I would grab another load today and ran into an issue. The issue is with my 2014 International 9900i w/ an ISX-15. I've been racking my brain about this because I ran into the same issue on my 2005 International 9900iX back in 2018 but for the life of me I cannot remember what I found to repair the problem.

The drive to Houston was normal as well as my short 30 mile drive Tuesday morning. Shut the truck off for about 15 minutes. Was going to connect my laptop to check a few things out and before I connected my laptop I turned the key to the run position and my gauges went through their startup sweep and then they returned to the resting position. Then, instead of the gauges moving to their respective positions to indicate that they were receiving data, a buzzer sounded and the coolant temp and oil pressure lamps began flashing. All of my gauges that receive their data from the ECM or from the bus stopped working.

Now I cannot connect my laptop to the truck
with Cummins Insite due to no communication between the USB link and the ECM. The coolest temp lamp and the oil pressure lamp are continuously flashing still.

The ABS module is reporting a J1939 Primary Vehicle Network failure. I have not attempted to connect to the ECM through the backbone connector on the engine harness yet because one of the wires is broken at the connector and I am repairing it right now.

The truck still starts and runs and drives like normal but I have zero gauges. No speedo, tach, coolant temp, oil pressure, voltage, DEF or boost.

I'm trying to find a place in Houston with a good scan tool other than a laptop with Cummins Insite to let me work on it or who can even look at it before next week.

Any input is greatly appreciated. I may have to have my wife bring my scan tool and my Ram with all of my tools and diagnostic equipment to Houston if I can find it the old fashioned way.

What stinks is I am 200 miles from home without any diagnostic tools/equipment.

Here is a pic of the gauges...
