"Hunker down" as they say, been following the florida hurricane all day on the radio, sounds bad. Wife got internet back yesterday, power was around today and cut the trees up and moved all the wires. On line outage map says she will have power back saturday. Shes getting cranky running for gas for the generator.. lol

Cross posting this same question here, and in What if it snows.

If you guys were buying new Stars, tri drives, would you get a DD15 or DD16, both are 1850 torque, but the 15 is 505 hp, and 16 is 565.
    Which is better durability?
    Fuel economy much different?

I was leaning towards the 15, but the dealer is pushing me to 16.

Honestly, I'm not sure why they still offer the DD15. You can spec a 505hp/1850ft. lbs DD13 which I'm almost certain is the most they offer in the 15L as well. But for your application I would have to say DD16.

Is the DD16 a 16 litre engine? A 16 liter will have rods the size of your arm.

In the bottoms hoping a wild hog sneaks by. Waters dropping, so i've had to reposition the boat further out. 20220928_150802.jpg 20220928_161054.jpg 20220928_171810.jpg 20220928_173216.jpg
