Ran upto Texarkana yesterday and picked up my new bosses other truck. Im less than impressed with it and the quality of work the shop did. Its an '11 Cascadia with a DD13 and a short hood. It was an O/O truck that got repo'ed. It now has an all new fuel system, but the shop broke 2 valve cover studs and didnt fix them, so 100mi after I left, I discovered it was leaking oil all over. They also didnt fix the air leaks.

Its got chrome crap all over the inside, a huge strip of dark tint across the top of the windshield that makes it a pain to see out of, plus the side windows are tinted so dark you can't see in the mirrors. But all that is getting fixed starting today.

Im just happy that I'll be gettin my W900 back lol.

Slippin outta IL last night had a chat with the man, done a inspection when I handed him my book he said we dont use those any more. If paper isn't good enough for you guys to use it isn't worth my time inspecting it. My whole troop about feels that way. Hard to say some have to and some don't and me to feel good about enforcing it. Any way boy that sure is a good lookin dog you got. Gimme about 15 minutes sir I will have this wrote up and have you on your way.

Just kicked em off over in the nations. Goin back to Joplin to see about gettin this ol Pete brought back to a high mirror shine. Gonna get to bed early to load early.........long way to Nogales

Put my brand new gold chains to work today hauling the same thing. Broker didn’t mention my 16’ chains wouldn’t be long enough though. Had to get creative on a few. 9D4CF6E9-61E9-418D-B81C-C87E47D76BBB.jpeg

The kid met us a new contact this past weekend.... A guy that he used to do some wrenching for had a speedo problem. They was working in the brokers shop so he got introduced.

After the kid left the truck owner got a grillin'....well he's the only guy I trust to work on my truck and he has a couple of his own.....sounds like a good fella to have around.

He's a flatbed broker but it's all about who you know....he's just a few miles east of us. I didn't know he was there.
