    #3 to Ft Macleod
    #2 through Calgary to Edmonton
    #16 west to the junction of #43
    #43 north west to Grand Prairie and out to the BC/AB border
    the road turns into #2 to Dawson Creek
    Then #97 north to the BC/YK border
    turns into #1 to Whitehorse
    and beyond to the AK/YK(AlCan) border
    then on to Fairbanks

    I'll be ###### if I can remember the author's name or the name of the book, but my Dad gave me the book to read about a rancher in Northern BC in early 1900s. The story was just about a normal year in the life of the rancher, and the challenges getting his calves to market over a mountain pass. I really enjoyed it!
