Superpet39 we live in Pardise texas and my husband was hauling gravel from one company in bowie there was never enough loads. they spread the gravel for the well site. then he went to a company in bridgeport and due to the up and down of the oilfield we would have starved if i didn't have a good job. I just sent him over the road. some other reasons also. Our friend hauls salt water for coffman tanker pays fairly well and steady hours. but they wouldn't hire my husband since he didn't have 2 years verifible experience. Oilfield is so unstable but guess it depends upon which end. He was on call for the company in bridgeport and it was jump then ask how high. hope this helps.

    superpet39 Thanks this.

He should have been running back around 2004 and up when Barnett was so hot. Would have made a killing. Slow now with rigs all heading to oil country. Seems to be picking up around Bowie, Forrestburg, Graham, etc. Might check around up there. Mr Coffman is supposed to be a very good man to work for.

Are you talking about coffman tanker? Our friend currently works for them and it's steady work with benefits.

Just for fun, here, the expression is 'when I say jump, don't ask how high' It's like Dr. Lou said on TV, 'if I ask you to spell Mississippi, don't ask which one, the state or the river....'

Another one, it's not 'I could care less', but rather, 'I couldn't care less'. Not trying to be a know it all, here. I just read that and I thought of Dr. Lou, he had me in stitches.

Their is no money in the oil field unless you are with the heavy hitters like dillion or Tuttle @trican. Tryed to make a little money with Red bird on runs of cement and flyash you will run your ### of for nothing and I hate to say e logs are bs.For any body saying they are makeing money down south you are full of it.The owners are makeing money not your ### like ATL or Rowdy but just remember 30 days later you get paid after so your out of pocket for owner ops .
