I didn't get so lucky. Apparently the plant just cleaned its tanks and needs to refill them. Because of the repair delay I was bumping my 14 and had to run pretty hard to make it to the plant. The tank that loaded after me was spotted in the rack and they wanted me to remove it and spot mine. That was easy enough.

Only problem was I only had 20 minutes left on my 14 when I got there. I told dispatch I couldn't bring the empty back to the yard since I would need to use line 5 to get there/home. Its about 30 minutes away. I headed out using off duty driving with 2 minutes left on my 14. Everything was good until I came up on a back up from a wreck. I now know the limits of off duty driving in our system.

As soon as I pulled up to the stop light a mile away from the terminal I got switched to the drive line with a bunch of flashing lights and doomsday violation warnings. I quickly switched it to on duty hoping to make it to the terminal without a violation. It didn't work. I wound up with a "HOS Violation" for driving over my 1 hour limit of off duty driving by 4 minutes. First one for me not on paper logs.

I've come up short once and just noted the entry as "safe harbor".

Blocked in im empty, Schneider has another hour to go awj has another 45 min to go.
Felt bad for the pumpkin driver hes out of hours and when empty only needs to go less than a mile to the quala wash, but he tells me his elog will put him on the drive line just moving a few feet, those settings must really suck especially in the tanker world, moving to and from loading racks and scale.
My elogs can go at least a few miles before changing.

For some reason, Schneider just takes forever there.
