Texas.... anywhere in Texas..... because all of our loads going there are priced as backhauls for the Houston terminal and all those chumps are up in LA skimming off our good loads.:biggrin_25510: Plus their doggone road maps suck 'cause they think every little podunk goat path is a major highway to be outlined in orange. Texas, bleahhh!:biggrin_25525::biggrin_2559:

Phroziac... not funnin' now. Montreal, etc is not that hard to figure out. But if you are anyways serious about the stop signs etc I hope you like the idea of Quebec jail.... where you will remain until you can arrange a local french speaking lawyer because Quebec's courts are French-only and they do not provide interpreters or recognize non-Quebec attorneys. Oh, and the Quebec Legal System is different too. It's based on the french Napolianic Code rather than the British Common Law that the rest of Canada has. Makes for some "interesting" sentences for "Anglos" (everyone who isn't a French Quebecois). That run stop sign just might get you a couple of years.

I will elaborate a bit. 55MPH for trucks and 70 for cars, idiotic bridge law for tractor-trailers, Nazi Law enforcement, Hippies, Tree huggers, Hollywood and San Fransisco. Seriously the Desert folk and Upstate people are not that bad, I would rather deal with South Central LA any day over some of the New-Age tards and hippies in San Fran.

The Northeast for me because of the toll roads and a seriuos lack of parking. Diesel Weasel I agree that the worse part of Cali is the San Francisco Area. CHP isn't too bad as long as you don't have an bad attiude. There are 3 areas here that CHP watches the speed closely. They are the L.A.,San Francisco, and Stockton/Sacremento areas. The rest of the state 5 over isn't a big deal unless a driver is doing something stupid.

Downtown Montreal? Not hard to figure out? I had to drive about 20 miles to get around a 3.95 meter bridge. How is that not hard to figure out?
I'm not talking about the metro area..I'm talking about the city. But i absolutely hate driving through quebec, in general.

Just joking about the #### stop signs. Sounds like a ###### court system too.

I like it all too! Every place has it's own uniqueness and character with different cultures of people and buildings.

Of course we all don't like traffic jams. But I always try to time them when possible. The one thing I hate is dodging toll roads for some greedy company. Or being sent into major storms. Never fails for me.

I always hated Ohio other than the Pike.. I have not driven there since the speed limit was raised to 65 but I guess I was a slow learner - 2 tickets at the same mile marker two weeks apart when our trucks still ran 65.. Haha.. Been about 5 years since I ran anything but the Pike with any regularity but I remember rough roads, bad drivers, and boring scenery.. Loved the Pike though - especially in the winter..

Never been to Cali but I am sure it is a pain. All of those wsetern states, Oregan, Wyoming, Utah, ect. are bad for permits. Almost every chicken coop gets you a red light.
Lately Ohio has become very bad. 71 N from Ashland to Cleveland you will find at least 4 diesel bears sitting in the medium or already pulled someone over. 271 West from 71 there is a rest area not far up the road and you will find at least 2 pulled in there. ALL have the creeper out. You can also find them from 30 West out of Mansfield towards Findlay. Same thing as 271, hitting the rest areas.
