I put a RTOO9513 behind the hot dt466 in my IH 2ton toter. 8th on the dash, 3 gears above direct [7th under] with a .62 top ratio. It has 37" rubber and 4.79 rear. Has deeper takeoff than the 379 i drive now, and the IH will run 80+ if you have the nerve. That trans is THE cure for a overgeared underpowered turd. I pulled it from a 70some autocar log truck with a ntc250 and 5.xx rears, then rebuilt it and made my 466 flywheel accept the 206 bearing for the 2" input. The aux bull gear was hardest part to find in that trans. Rest no problem. The truck is good up to 40k gross in mountains, maybe 50 in flats. Youd be excecuted at the first scale but she'll pull No heat, no ac, window missing, rains inside. Osha would faint if i put a driver in it.
I also have a 74 w900A with a turned up ntc350 and 15spd that needs to migrate south and get put to use. Manual steering dumptruck.. Whos up for it? I will throw in 1974 tennessee wages to boot. 1099!
why did they use too make 15 speed trannys then stop what were they made for if the use too makethem

I am sure someone would put you own, but you would be surprised at the difference in income at the end of the month. lol
Since you are new, it will be hard to find someone to leas you on, and those that will may not be the best to work for.
What kind of trailer are you going to want to drag otr?
You may check with some of the big dairies over in curry and roosevelt county across the line and strike a deal to haul their hay out of colorado, kansas and maybe even a little out of ok. They used to pay enough to run round trip, so a guy could run exempt. on it too, if you had a flatbed. There are even more of them down around erath county tX too, all their alfalfa comes from out of state and is big bales no labor except tieing down and tarping.Oxbow Thanks this. -
How difficult/expensive would it be to make a 13 out of a 15?

With no core. At least I don't know of anyone that will even give partial core credit for a 15 when swapping for a 13
-
I have never measured them but would almost bet the drive shaft will have to be altered too, which is not as cheap as it used to be.
In my log tuck, I might would go too he trouble to change to an 18 spd, if a good one fll into my hands, I wouldn't bother swapping it for a 13 unless the 15 went bad.Oxbow Thanks this. -
You can make a 9 into a 13 but i think thats about it.

I seem to remember reading that the newer 9spds will not take a back box off of a 13.
