Why do passing trucks blink their lights?

    Two blinks means thank you.

    Three or more is scolding you and telling you not to dim your low beams or throw high beams on.

    A lot of drivers today use low beam cut offs and high beams to antagonize others.

    You shouldn’t blink your headlights but rather turn them off and back on. I’ve had trucks do it because it’s probably out of habit. Being in the industry for 22 years I still do it (not every time) even if they don’t flash or turn their lights off and on again.
