Speed limit. That's a ceiling. The high end, maximum "safe" speed - Not the speed you are required to maintain. Sure, it's mostly arbitrary crap set by useless people, but if you rear end me doing 80 in Texas, that's your problem. You're responsible for controlling your vehicle.

Personally, I really only care about other people's speed on downgrade or in a construction zone. Downgrades don't even bother me that much as long as it's a four lane highway.

Many super truckers post on here at times; "Does anyone know of any second chance companies that will give me a break. Lost my job due to speeding tickets and I really need to get back to work."

The only thing I didn't like about drivers going faster than me back when I drove, was that my governed truck couldn't match their speeds. So maybe I had some driver envy going on. Also back then drivers used to run convoy going from east to west through Tennessee. If you've ever run that route through TN you'd understand why they did that. Anyway, all I could do was just watch them blow my doors off and fade into the distance. Never once did I get to pretend I was the Rubber Duck.

I'm skeered to death about getting a speeding ticket , so I drive 35, in the left lane without my lights on, because I have a bad alternator. Man, you should hear the funny noises behind me..............I wonder what it could be ??

We are all careful ,but we are careful within our comfort zone. Whether it be 52 or 70. We all make a choice. Run what is sensible and professional and leave the whiners behind, Everyone chooses the hill they wanna die on so do it professionally and don't judge. Do this and your own life will be less stressed

Ignorance/absence of professionalism; They don't understand how speed limits affect safety, and they don't care.

    Selfishness; 10 over * 10 hours = 100 miles.

Habit; 4-wheeler habits carried over to truck steering. They don't call them "driving habits" for nothing,

Peer pressure; Everyone else is doing it. If I don't I'm "different", and holding up traffic, and everyone will be mad at me.

Rationalization; Sure I drove 10 over for 5 hours, but that's totally irrelevant to the crash I arrived just in time to be involved in but couldn't do anything to avoid.

I see a lot of people being butt hurt about things out of their control. How fast I run my truck is ultimately my decision.

Few things are more obvious. A lot of bits died for you to post essentially nothing.

I'm also amused by the fact that the ones that can't or are to chicken #### to run over 63 calls anyone who does run over 63 a "super trucker".. Like a bunch of god #### 12 yr olds, " if I can't do it no one should be able too! It's not fair!"
