Tobacco is a stimulant once you get past the fact that it makes you extremely sick. At that point you become an addict.

I was a chain smoker for thirty years and haven't smoked since the winter of 99, I wish sometimes that I was still a smoker, but I've managed to stay away from them. Sometimes I want to smoke ssssooooo bbbbaaaaddddddd, but I have not. I heard something on the radio I think it was last Friday, and it has had me fuming ever since, and I think I will pass it along here, but I don't want to change the nature of the thread in any way by doing so, they said on the radio that the Housing Authority of Fort Wayne has passed a resolution to no longer allow smoking in your home if you live there. Now, IMHO that is dead wrong, if you can't do this or that in your home, what do we have left??

One other item, for those of us that are from "out in the sticks", what is a hooka?? I may have spelled that wrong... I read in the paper the other day about a tobacco store that opened up and they had a hooka room, what would that be??? Sorry about the spelling, I couldn't curser up to check that, it started a new page.

    mje Thanks this.

Back in the 70's and 80's everyone idolized Tom Selleck as the Marlboro Man. We even had a teacher's and separate student's smokers lounge in high school. Every where there was a coke machine there was a cigarette machine beside it. There was a day it was cool but that all changed in the last 20 years when the diet coke health nuts started crying.

Truckers always had an outlaw type image which smoking helps portray. Plus it gives you something to do and calms the nerves at times.

But if you never smoked don't start because it's hell to quit.

One more nail closer to the grave! I've tried to quit every way possible smoking for the last 30 something years. I'm still puffing! I'll quit smoking someday one way or another! If there was a way to quit someone please let me know! The way things are going for me lately, One more nail closer to the grave!

Statistics have conclusively shown that 100 percent of everything will eventually kill you.

    Pass the Pop-Tarts.
