Simplest solution is go down to the nearest truckstop, find a KLLM driver and ask him/her all your questions. Then get his name so if you do end up going to them he will get a referral bonus for his trouble.
It’s not… or it is… I mean otr and most accts now start at 60cpm (my acct is 57cpm). idk why the other “megas” are so low, maybe no one likes reefer? I’m pretty sure Prime starts around 55-60, but they max out lower than us. We also offer double the hometime of comparable sized (or larger) companies. If you’re looking for more info, just search my history or enter kllm in the search bar. As for the referral bonus, I don’t want it nor care for it; I’m more than happy to discuss our pros and cons or even recommend competitors, just because kllm is a good fit for me doesn’t mean it’ll be for you… edit: the only “extra” pay we have is detention, layover, multi-stop, and paid hometime for generic otr; dedicated accts may vary. My acct only has multi-stop, no detention or layover, but a minimum guarantee instead. I much prefer this to trying to collect detention or layover. editedit: I forgot, generic otr might have 5cpm production bonus for ~2200mi a week per month, idk if it’s still a thing or not. I rarely got it due to taking hometime, I did like 110-120k mi in ‘20, my first full year; but things have been a bit slower recently.
In aggregate, reefer drivers run less total miles than van as they have more strict appointment times and live loads/unloads.
I would guess if they run less miles it is because grocery warehouses take longer to get loaded and unloaded than dry van warehouse.
We try to keep our reefers out of places like that, plus we aren't on elogs either, so there really isn't a limit on what we run for miles.
