UPS hires feeders off the street now, sure it's going to be a while to make at least $33hr. but skip red headed step child UPSF, Go direct for UPS.

latest UPS vote screwed themselves. Medical is called teamcare and nothing is 100% covered, pay out of pocket now

that sucks, but its still better than OD! if your wife works, and has insurance offered, OD will not cover her. and i wouldnt look down at upsf, arent their road drivers making 65 or 66 cpm now? thats good money!

btw, even on the 15% giveback, there are guys making around 6 figures over at big dutch....

Never worked for OD, Have for UPSF. Have my reasons for working another LTL.
Each company has it's own positives, Can't really say negatives. Each one of us has priorities working for a company.

Not very much depending on the wait/detention at the destination.
In my personal experience, that is where the TL driver is getting screwed.
Companies had little trouble absorbing high fuel prices so that only proves they could pay better.
Back in the day driver cost was 40-50 cpm and fuel cost was closer to 10 cpm.
Fast forward to today and those numbers are close to being reversed.

Do carriers have a set fuel price months in advance with the fueling companys ? Airlines have a set price contract for months to years, forget the legal name of this situation.

My company has a contractor to come in the yard to fuel the tractors, Assuming it's a similar contract to the airlines.

    can you clarify ?

no I wasn't alluding to that..
I just know USA pays garbage and their drivers park in the middle of the road at truck stops and block everybody to take their 10 because they're too scared to try and back into a space.

Holland isn't top tier, some of their trucks look older than me.
I don't know how they pass inspections ever.
Bet Schneider is jealous of Hollands Orange rims lol

They don't spend their money on shiny equipment, they spend it on us.

No they don't, if that was the situation, You folks would have a great pension. I work for the other outdated equipment company that no one outside of trucking and vendors ever heard of :yes2557:

Other then the pension crap. youns pay competitive. screw shiny equipement. I think ACH on here wins the dinosaur company tractor award working for a LTL carrier and earns the same.
