There is no in cab WIFI...

The CPM is a little low, but the other thing to consider is the average length of haul. Stevens is right around 1500 miles. For me personally as a strictly solo driver my loads average around 1200 miles, my weekly average is around 2800 miles. I just picked up a load them morning in Virginia that delivers Monday in Laredo, so with Deadhead that's right at 2000 miles in 4 days.

Remember $1 a mile is a great wage, but if you are only running 400 miles, it is not much money.

well all the QC's can get internet, our company has it set where you can only get a few sites to open like sports, weather etc but one night when my phone had no service I found a Google ad on a page and from that I was able to search for other sites. Little workaround but you might get in trouble if they ever check history.

So long as it's not against company policy, it shouldn't matter. If it's not specifically forbidden it's allowed, right?

Sorry, I was referring specifically to Stevens. We do not have that feature activated in our vehicles.

Funny enough, I wasn't even thinking about bad sites, lol. I was thinking more along the lines of what's specifically not allowed where I work, like stocks, non-govt personal business sites (such as a site or business that you run), etc.

What i like about the CDL mills is that there is a trainingprogram to follow passing your test.
While some look on it as slavelabor,if done right it is a benefit to safety.

Don't forget that there are many more trucking firms that pay bad wages and don't have their own CDL school.

So you might end up paying for your CDL out off your own pocket and still end up working and lower wages then if you had gone the CDl mill route.
And yes,you can leave but where will you go to?
A new CDL,no experience,in debt and leaving your first employer after a very short time on your resume.
    Who will hire you?

Just a few things i wanted to point out.
Off course you should look for a decent firm whichever way you go.
Goodluck to all and keep it safe out there.

I was never given anything about internet useage so I dont even know what is considered bad besides the normal porn and stuff. I only did it once, normally I stop and have service with my phone but that night I was stuck at a picnic area, think the highway was 287 since I ran out of time and pulled off there with 3 minutes left of my 14

The point is, if you leave, your bills would be a lot less than if you get fired (for no reason) with a company..

3000 dollars is definitely not as much as 8000-10000. There is a very big difference. (of course company debt varies though)
