I thought cricket had a data cap like Straight Talk ??

How does that "dongle" work? If it picks up a wifi signal, wouldn't you need a pass key/code to connect?

 

Sounds like it's a wifi dongle that plugs in to a usb port and yes. You need passwords. Depending on the wifi available to use.

 

I use strt talk unlimted. It uses Verizons net work. Work almost everywhere. 55 a month no contract. Even catch data use in mexico lol. Works perfect for me.

 

I've been using Verizon for over 15 years as a cell provider (no contract, I've always been on a month to month plan) With my unlimited plan and my smartphone I can stream movies & tv , facetime/skype as well as access the internet on my computer using my phones hotspot without incurring any extra charges. They also offer Jetpacks for mobile Wifi options as well. I believe that other cell providers also offer comparable plans. I am not advocating that Verizon is the best, just simply stating that is who I currently use. It depends on how heavy you plan on using it, and what provider has the best coverage and rates for the areas you run.
