When you went in for orientation, did they make you take a short road test with the rest of the students? In order for them to put you in a trainers truck, you had to be able to shift. If you went to another company and had to do this over again, could you shift better now that you have a couple weeks training. If the answer is Yes, Then I don't think you will have a problem finding another job.

The cop pulled you over not for crossing the white line (the fog line), but because you kept on crossing the line. In post # 27, Patty says that you are having trouble with lane control. She's right. He pulled you over because you drive like you're distracted. It's not the shifting that you are having problems with, it's your focus. You follow what you look at. After 2 weeks, you should have been getting better, but you didn't.

You will be able to get another job no problem. Tell them that you have trouble with lane control but you can shift, and you want more training. Let us know how things go.

i can remember back in my earlier years, i had men, and i had cowards, regarding trainers. the MEN would tell me straight up on my progress or lack of it. the cowards would of course, not say a word.

i cannot at this time remember my exact age when i got into trucking, but it is nearly safe to say i was between 29 and 31, and if i add up my years out here at 27 going into 28, that age matches up.

so i wan't a "kid" back then, but yet, the cowards of trainers still didn't have the balls to speak to me as a man should.

then too, maybe the cowards were ONCE men about it, told a student he was no good, and got clocked..????

No you will not get CSA Points for the warning if there was no inspection done. If however he asked for you License, Med Card, B.O.L, Truck Registration, Cab Card, IFTA Plate, Trailer Paperwork etc... You had a Level III inspection and any points assesed will be applied
Q: Will violations, citations, or warnings issued against a driver while driving his/her personal vehicle be placed into the driver's data in CSA?
A: No. The only data that will be placed into the CSA database related to drivers will be violations noted on a roadside inspection report (this is only completed when a commercial vehicle and/or the driver of a commercial vehicle is inspected) and crashes that the driver is involved in while operating a commercial vehicle.

Unfortunately, THIS IS THE REASON YOU WERE FIRED AND NOT GIVEN ANOTHER TRAINER. The company probably told the trainer to drop you off because of the ticket. Most companies have 0 tolerance for tickets and accidents during training no matter how young you are to the industry. Your mistake tarnished the companies safety record in their eyes. I wish you much luck and remember this was never meant to be easy and who ever told you it will be is an idiot! You have to give this almost everything you have inside of you to win!
