I'm glad you acted on my suggestion....

    Don't worry Granny...I'll let you pull mine!:biggrin_25523:
(I'm talkin' about the AIR HORN CORD!)

    Mine are!:biggrin_2559:

Not true...There is no law about firearms in commercial vehicles.

Most companies don't allow you to carry in the truck.
I don't carry a firearm in my truck because I don't feel the need for one...I never have felt the need for one.

A buddy of mine went to CR England a couple of years ago and they told the orientation class that it was against federal law to carry a firearm in a truck...But England will say anything to you to indoctrinate you to their way of thinking.

He stayed at England for about a month and came home to be laughed at by all of us who warned him that it was a dumb move!:biggrin_2559:

Would you believe a 12th century (replica, but good steel) 18" short sword? :biggrin_25526: It was my retirement present....

But like many others have said: If they want the truck that bad, here's the keys.

Side story: I once was being given a hard time about not locking my trailer. I told the guy that if he and 2 other guys could get any part of my load out of the trailer in 30 seconds, they could have it. I then opened the door to show him 8 6000lbs+ rolls of paper....

Depends on the state. I had California DOT cop about wet himself over a dagger with a 5 inch blade. Tried to say it was illegal for me to carry concealed. Well, ya, it was on my bunk under my pillow, but it was clearly not a weapon. Decorated (painted enamel) blade and sheath, and not even sharp enough to cut water.

Also, you can not enter Canada with a straight blade over 15 cm (just a hair short of 6 inches) or a folding blade with a blade length over 12.75 cm (about 5 inches). I had a rather nice tanto style knife confiscated at the Pacific Hwy crossing (I5 and Canada, Burnaby, BC/Blaine, WA) 2 years ago.:biggrin_25516: Blade was 8.5 inches and it go bye-bye...

I carry wasp spray and tire thumper, and I don't park in bad areas if I can avoid it. I leave my gun at home because the dot on occasion will ask to look in the sleeper birth, and some ports will wan't to look inside, as well as military bases.

I use common sense and having a Charlie Manson look helps. Very few people want to mess with a person who looks crazy. :biggrin_2559::biggrin_2559:. BTW if someone wants the truck and load they can have it. Like someone posted earlier neither is worth getting hurt or killed over.

Not only looking crazy but acting crazy usually helps too. It's amazing, people never want to mess with a guy that's 6'3" 260 lbs that is arguing with himself! :biggrin_25525: I've used this tactic several times when I've been in places that were not so great shall we say and never been bothered.
