"I never said I got rid of truck and trailer".:biggrin_2554: sure sounded like it with a post of " I folded after about 1 1/2 years.Rates don't justify investment.Notice I said investment,I actually wrote a check for a truck and trailer.Back in the company truck and will be until I retire. "

so if I was wrong in assuming the fact you might have gotten rid of it I am sorry

Sour grapes of one variety or another me thinks... doesn't mean the rest of us are eating that particular fruit.

well , if ya still got a truck and trailer and are driving a company truck, that was a bad investment , you didn't sell it to recoup part of the investment? unless youre going to say ya got a driver in it, but that wouldn't compute since the business is so stagnant.

so what did ya do with the truck and trailer?

Bought my first truck Jan 31 of this year, got my authority, a used trailer and started rolling. Bought 2nd truck/trailer in July, hired a driver and put it to work. Currently both trucks are staying loaded, rolling and making money. So far its the best move I have ever made. We will see how it turns out in the long run.

He's got a point 6-speed. Its a $500 load with a big allowance for additional cargo insurance. Either you got a break on the insurance... or did you just wing it without properly insuring the load??

It's called a half truth. Leaving out certain info to lead people to believe something different. Classic!

I had 3mo experience before i bought my truck, that was 4 yrs ago. I got my authority in 2010, within a year i was told i would be deployed to Afghanistan. I had to get ready for deployment so i sold my trailer and leased own with Sni. Been with sni for 3yrs and doing ok. Being leased on works for me. Being in the military and having your authority dont mix. If i wasnt in the military i would have kept my authority.
