TQL is a bit stunning. They want to co-broker freight all day long. Fine, that's a big part of your business model. But when you say you will only sign a 2-way agreement they get all upset about you even suggesting they would allow something so unseemly.

"We don't allow double brokering of our freight." That is a direct quote.

I'm really glad I found this thread while researching TQL because I'll most likely try to get an internship there next summer. I'm a junior in college and seems like the ethics of a lot of brokers are completely different from mine.

I wonder what the recruiter at the career fair is going to say when I mention and discuss this side of TQL that I shouldn't know. I still think it would be a company I'd like to work and hopefully I can make a difference in how some ignorant f###s treat other human beings while being a great broker. If I don't get hired or I ever get fired for defending my beliefs of treating others as I want to be treated, the company never deserved me on the first place.

    Maybe try:
    http://www.chrobinson.com.
They cheap, but integrity wise they light years ahead of TQL.

I don't know why they need college degree to broker freight?

I am sure every situation is different but I had great rates from both TQL and broker arms of mega carriers.
Yes, 4$ plus per loaded mile and we talking about 200 to 400 miles loads...
