So After a complete week Of this direct to store stuff I like it. It can be hectic when stores take to long to make room an throw my schedule off buy is great. Its probably natural to me because i've been a delivery driver for so many years.
I'm booked through friday next week, 3000 in loads with Tuesday off for a bit of shop time. Loving life right now I haven't finished the numbers yet but this previous week looks to be my most profitable week as a ic. I'm looking to net between 2100-2500 unless i get fuel tomorrow and i think i will.

Sounds like you found your niche ew, good for you!

How are you liking your T680? What kind of fuel mileage is it getting and how slow do you drive to achieve it?

My fuel economy is garbage right now. Im running close to 70 most days with 37-42k in the box. I usually get mid to high sixs. If i slow down to 62-64 it'll go up to 7.2-7.6 at that weight.
When I was running all over with lighter loads i stayed in the mid 7's and low 8's

I love the truck its great, it has its silly little issues but overall i cant complain its taken care of me the past 47 thousand miles.

I will say also my trucks computer did something funky and KW had to fix it quickly and since then economy has been down a tick. I need to take it back and see if they can restore factory settings. Maybe turning up the HP will help economy too i wont spend as much time on some of these hills.

So i have decided that my ICA is a clueless her uncle most be the boss or something because she can not get her head out of her ##### to get things done.

So Thursday I had two loads scheduled, The first was a multi stop in Woodstock VA and then Luray VA, the second load was going to trexlertown pa.

So I deliver Woodstock and head to Luray. Open the doors and hit the dock and ring the bell. Wait... ring again... wait... and i start walking to the front and i see the reciever coming toward me and she is giving me the sad puppy dog face. In my mind i immediately say oh S!%$.

She tells me the door is broken she called it in yesterday and there is no clue on when repair will come. Damage control mode instantly kicked in. My next load was due by 1700 and it was 1015 at this point.

So I talk to the receiver she calls the manager and I find out they have no loads coming until Sunday so I tell them I'll drop the trailer and close it out so they don't get fined for a late delivery. They have a tech en-route to fix the door between 1200-1400.

Now it got complicated from here. I call my ICA to to tell her I'm dropping the trailer and It will need to be picked up by saturday. She goes through 20 questions. Why are you dropping it? How many docks do they have? What if we cant pick it up, who will move it? Is it secured behind a gate?
I tell her all you need to worry about is getting it picked up because im dropping it and going to get my next load. She says i have to talk about customer service about this. Puts me hold......"choppy music"...... "pointless tips"....She comes back on and says Do they have loads coming that'll be an issue.
I sigh and say nothing is coming. I JUST NEED THE MT PICKED UP later today or by Saturday. She goes back to im not sure that can be done.... What if another carrier shows up. At this point im screaming in my head whhhhaaaaat theeee fuuuuuu. I gave her every bit of info she needed.

I told her let me confirm with them nothing is coming again, she says to me this call has gone on to long (21m) call us back ...click...

So 5 minutes later i call back and tell someone else everything i told my ica. This person says no problem that's a high traffic area we can probably get that picked up today, let me change it to a drop.
I stare at my phone and say I cant believe this S@!&, I'm just avoiding my ica at all cost from now on.

If she answers i'll hang up or ask for my icr, i wonder where they find these people....
    rant over.. back to truckin

See because you're an IC they're not supposed to tell you what to do... so they call it "advising" you
