You have to remember all the cameras watching you, they record when you go past different places and there is some ninny keeping track, probably have face recognition on them cameras so they know who is driving and when. What the market needs to do is have everything timed and planned ahead so that these loads which almost every load is can be done safely and legally, the drivers are only the slaves of nowadays and they are going to need to put a foot down on the control that is being exerted on them.

part of population control? They do not let airplanes land or take off without the piolet in control mostly because after all these years humans are still needed for the just in case, computers do not have fear and will go full on until destruction.

I have violated the HOS twice, once I took a 29 minute break instead of 30. The second time I drove 11 hrs 01 minute. Both times the result was the same.

Food for thought.. Since most all the companies that manufacture Eld are billion dollar companies and also most Mega companies endorsed eld and lobby the politicians. I don’t think elogs are going anywhere. Follow the Money. If I had owner operators leased on and paid 65% on every dollar and I had 5000 of them they each grossed 120,000 a year that’s 210,000,000. I would buy new equipment trailers write off the depreciation and maintenance while using interest on those escrows and security deposits(loans). The industry just need to pay up. It’s too much of us giving and not making any money. Crab bucket industry. I say look at the trends all the companies do the same things. None wants to pay better then the other in the end. More pay, more training, and more education. Eld can be put off but it doesn’t solve the pay issues, parking, health, safety, and bad legislation that passes. FMCSA should create a board that consists of current and retired drivers to advise.

The HOS violations I've been nailed on by our company auditor on paper were mere clerical errors. I never knowingly violated the HOS, I was too paranoid about getting a ticket to take the risk.

The closest I've ever been (on paper) to violating driving time was about 5 minutes from 13 hours in Canada.

Now I'm on elogs and couldn't care less. The computer does all the work for me and leaves me to enjoy the drive.
