City's and states you will never go again!!

While California is on my list, only because my truck is not compliant there anymore, I try not to ever say I will not go to a particular state or city, just takes a little more money for me to go to certain places, money talks.

 

Montana, ND & Wyoming don't have much outbound freight and it's usually a long dh to reload b/c darn the area is so darn big.
I drove a dry van and a delivery to south Florida usually meant a dh to at least Jaxville to reload.
Chi friggin cago was always a b**** for me, low bridges, extreme traffic, too many tollroads to name a few issues.
NYC metro, too much traffic, high dollar toll bridges, and it just takes too long to go in deliver then reload and fight your way out of town.

 

California for me and I love the state. The weather, the people are extremely nice, never sit, and its good miles there and back. Despite two write ups to get it fixed, last year I got a fix-it-ticket for a cracked windshield. Got it fixed, went back, got the ticket signed and returned. They were sending me crap saying my license was on the verge of getting suspended. Well my company handled that as having an unlicensed driver operating your truck is really bad news. This was also a contributing factor in the firing of that companies then maintence guy, for blowing off my write ups. That was resolved and I went to a Texas DMV last week to renew my license and there was a hold placed on it from the state of California. 2 hours on the phone and I got it removed.

California is a very broke and disorganized state and it could cost you your livelihood by going there. Get a ticket...PAY THE DAM THING, and they still want more. I would recommend just letting them die...slowly. If you get a ticket there I would recommend hiring a lawyer.

 

I can't say CA because you had again in the question . I knew better than to ever go there in the first place . I have refused loads to NJ because off idling laws . That wouldn't be a problem if my truck was 2007 or newer . I told my dispatcher that . She said no company or O/O trucks were newer than 2006 .

Money means more than my petty disgust at certain states/cities. I'm out here to make money myself, so anywhere is fair game if the load pays enough.

Absolutely no northeast and no left coast, not ever for any rate.

 

ME., VT., NH., NY., MA., RI., CT., NJ., Eastern & Mid PA., MD., WV., Northern VA., and any and/or all states west of the Rockies in winter.

Not because of freight issues. Just because I don't want to go there any more, and I have put myself in the position that I can and do make that call.

Oh yah....I don't leave my country either...so Canada and Mexico are out too.
