    If you had the opportunity to move 10 loads from Los Angeles CA to Louisville Ky for $3 a mile, you would honestly kick $0.20 back to the broker saying 'that's ok I don't need it because I saved $6k on taxes, therefore you can keep $4k I'm still up $2k"

    I guess to me that is very communistic thinking. Give back to the collective for the greater good.

    Everybody has a different cost of living and operation. Opinions on load prices are moot when one guy is making more than the other. Bottom line is nobody is making money on a 1.40 load!

    it all depends on what money is to you..but if i made 1.40 a mile my kids and wife would kill me

    What's time worth being away from your family? What about having to get dressed just to use the bathroom? Or how about when you load late and need a shower but wait there's no place to park long enough to take a shower?

    I could go back to the plants but I did this to better myself and I think I'm worth more than a company driver!
