If you had the opportunity to move 10 loads from Los Angeles CA to Louisville Ky for $3 a mile, you would honestly kick $0.20 back to the broker saying 'that's ok I don't need it because I saved $6k on taxes, therefore you can keep $4k I'm still up $2k"
I guess to me that is very communistic thinking. Give back to the collective for the greater good.

There be a very handy tool. It covers cost of living which as can be seen is almost 50% difference in the two areas I chose. However running a business out of these two areas has an even greater gap!

Everybody has a different cost of living and operation. Opinions on load prices are moot when one guy is making more than the other. Bottom line is nobody is making money on a 1.40 load!

What's time worth being away from your family? What about having to get dressed just to use the bathroom? Or how about when you load late and need a shower but wait there's no place to park long enough to take a shower?
I could go back to the plants but I did this to better myself and I think I'm worth more than a company driver!realsupatrucka, Foxcover, SheepDog and 1 other person Thank this. -
